The Systems Services Representatives (SSR) are primarily responsible for the post sale maintenance of IBM hardware and software in customer accounts. The SSR is assigned to accounts for system support and acts as a technical interface to customers for hardware and software support and the delivery of services as required by the customer. SSR will spend a majority of their time working on hardware related issues using problem analysis and problem solving skills for the identification and resolution of hardware situations in the customer environment. He/she may assist in the resolution of software and operational situations.
Key attributes we are looking for:
-University graduate,, majored in computer related fields is preferred.
-Has 3-5 years experiences in related field
-Good knowledge and skills in Networking, Unix, DB2, C/C++, TCP/IP or software development is a good plus.
-Willingly put in as much additional effort or time as needed to overcome substantial obstacles and ensure that performance was at highest level of effectiveness.
-Developed highly effective collaborative relationships with others; Demonstrating openness, acceptance, and personal flexibility. Sacrificed substantial amount of own time to help other team members as appropriate.
-Proactively sought out experiences and knowledge regarding a new procedure, tool, or skill that was above and beyond normal responsibilities. Learned very rapidly when faced with complex new situations or demands. Demonstrated successful application of new knowledge or skills to the situation at hand and to similar situations.
-Readily and easily switched gears in response to unpredictable situations or circumstances. Was able to focus on task and successfully completed work assignments, even when under extreme levels of stress.
-Quickly and accurately identified the parameters and issues of complex problem. Efficiently researched and gathered complete and appropriate information. Demonstrated understanding of root cause of problem. Identified a highly effective solution from a number of alternatives.
-Explained complex concepts and ideas in a manner easily understood by a diverse audience. Understood the needs of customers and consistently adapted tone, manner, and style to increase effectiveness.
-Willing to travel.
